I have seen the New Pornographers several times over the years, but this is
the first time that I have with both Neko Case and Dan Bejar in the line-up.
It was a great show at a small venue. They played over 20 songs...
including a Destroyer song and a Julian Cope cover. The Dutchess and the
Duke opened the show.
I am digging the latest album "Together", but I really was there to hear the
greatest hits. They performed a good deal of them. Standouts for me
included Mass Romantic, Testament to Youth and Verse, Letter from an
Occupant, July Jones... and newer songs like Myriad Harbor, Sweet Talk,
Sweet Talk, Crash Years and Silver Jenny Dollar.
