The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are a Brooklyn band and they are playing in Gowanus(next to Park Slope) Brooklyn on Friday, March 13. I'm going to the show. They have just released their debut CD Imagine indie C86/MBV/Ride/Smiths etc.... all rolled into one. With that kind of endorsement how can you not at least check them out. :)
Plus in these recessionary times, getting tickets for $10 plus $1.50 service charge works for me. It costs the same as a movie. Get tix fast since I am sure that the indie blogosphere buzz will probably make this a sell out show.
